Hummus

One of the reasons I love love love! Lebanon…This yummy spread/paste made with chickpeas, olive oil and tahini is rich in essential minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and potassium. It also contains vitamin A, B1 B2, B3 and folate. It contains anti-inflammatory omega3 fatty acids because of the presence of olive oil. It helps maintain healthy scalp and growth.

Honey

Honey is not just famous for being sweet, it’s got humectant properties that help regulate and retain moisture in hair. It also promotes hair growth as it is said to strengthen hair follicles. Adding honey to your shampoo is a good way to keep it conditioned and reduce breakage. It is rich in antioxidants and helps prevent hair loss. To use as a conditioner add honey to olive or coconut oil and plain yoghurt! You could also swap your sugar for honey, get healthy hunnay!

Don’t forget to ask your doctor/nutritionist/health/food specialist to make sure it’s safe for you especially if you’re preggys, lactating, have allergies or ill. Also remember that some hair products may contain some of these in the ingredients, read the labels.
