Fruits, Vegs et Toi? (III)

Image (10)   I remember the look on my friend’s face the other day when I was at hers’ having sweet potatoes fried for lunch that weekend when I mentioned the nutrients that were hidden in them and how they helped for rapid hair growth… Not exactly sure she took me seriously even though I mentioned I had read alot about it, after all I wasn’t a food scientist, a doctor, nutritionist or anything of that sort….

They say – knowledge is power; nothing read or known is a waste. Anyhoos… I’ve tried to read extensively on most fruits and vegs I consume, I think it’s important so I know when we’re eating healthy and know some diseases could be prevented just by what I eat! What do you think?

In this Post we’ll be looking at Sweet Potatoes and Apples…Enjoy!!

First of, we start with Apples….. This fruit is rich in Fiber and Antioxidants which help for the renewal of cells. Contains  Vitamins C and B complex such as Thiamine, Riboflavin and Antioxidants such as flavonoids and polyphenols. Because of its contents, it helps in boosting immunity (so you’re not easily prone to diseases), hydrates your skin, is a great toner and helps in averting Asthma or breathing problems.

It helps growth of new hair as it contains Procyanidin B2.It also contains Biotin which helps in stimulating hair growth and also strengthens and thickens hair strand- promoting longer hair and controls hair loss (preventing hair from thinning). It also treats dandruff on scalp and removes build up (juice as final rinse) and also balances out the PH level. The seed contains Vitamin E which is a conditioning agent in products.
